Memorial Health System was one of 15 Oklahoma hospitals to receive the Oklahoma Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative (OPQIC) 2026 Gold Spotlight Award for Excellence in Perinatal Care.
Paula Griffith, Director, Women and Children’s Services, who accepted the award for Memorial, was joined by other maternal and infant health professionals and advocates from across the state to acknowledge efforts and celebrate progress toward improving outcomes for Oklahoma’s mothers and babies.
A total of 28 hospitals were honored with OPQIC’s award at Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels. They were evaluated using a comprehensive scoring framework that reflects key indicators of maternal and newborn care quality across the state. The criteria included participation in maternal and newborn quality initiatives, hospital certifications and designations, and efforts to support safe, high- quality perinatal care. This standardized assessment approach highlights hospitals that demonstrate measurable commitment to improving care for Oklahoma mothers and newborns.
